time to use MyTreasure
MyTreasure is FREE service which enables you to easily create your list
of pre-loved treasure complete with pictures.
- Do you know 30-40% of items on the leading online auction site never get a single bid yet people still have to
pay the fees. Why pay for something you can do yourself for free.
The MyTreasure program is available for FREE for
you to download. You can host your files using your own space, or contact me and I'll provide free hosting on the internet for your items.
The different ways to use
MyTreasure
MyTreasure
helps you to put together a list of your pre-loved treasure and produces the list as a
web page saved on your computer's hard disk.
You can then:

Print out the page and give it to people
you know.

Print out the page and pin the page to a noticeboard at work.

Open the page using Microsoft Word and
email the page to your family and friends.

Upload the files to
the internet and then email everyone you know with a link to your page.
Overview on using
MyTreasure
-
Download and run the MyTreasure program
to organise your items using your computer. You can change,
add and delete items whenever you like.

Locate free space on the internet or ask me for some free space.

Upload the files. (
You don"t have to upload your page to the internet, but it does make it easy for
your family and friends to know what you have.)

Send an email with a link to your page to all your family and
friends inviting them to check out your items. Invite them to let you know
about their pre-loved treasure.

Sell, rent, swap, or give away your items.

Now enjoy your new found space and that extra cash.
Detailed steps on
using MyTreasure

Click here to
download the MyTreasure.exe program. (Save the program into a new folder.)
NOTE: Windows often blocks downloaded executable files to stop them from
running to protect you against malware. Right click on the MyTreasure.exe file, select Properties and then click
Unblock. Now you can run the program. (Even though we have checked the
program to ensure there is malware, we always recommend you also scan files you download with your anti-virus program.)
MyTreasure requires the .NET framework files which in many cases are already installed on many computers.
If the .NET framework files are not installed on your computer you will get an error message when you run MyTreasure.
You can download the files from the Microsoft web site
using the following link. (Microsoft
.NET Framework files.)

Run MyTreasure.exe.

Enter the settings.

Take pictures of all your items and
store the pictures in the data folder which has been created for you in the folder where you saved MyTreasure.exe).
Your items will look great with pictures, but remember pictures are optional. You can for example put your items up without
pictures and later come back and add a picture when you have time. (Save pictures as jpg files,
as small as possible in size (under 20KB in size is a good size), and with a maximum width of 160 pixels.)

Enter your items and select the
picture for each item.

View your items using the View
option in MyTreasure.

Click on the upload button to transfer your list of items to the internet.

Check your page on the internet to make
sure everything is OK.

Send an email with a link to your page to all your family and
friends inviting them to check out your items.

MyTreasure is a free service and I will be providing common answers online for free.

Questions and Answers
What's the catch. Why is MyTreasure free?
There isn't a catch. Each MyTreasure page contains advertising. If people check out the advertising I aim to keep MyTreasure free.
Why don't my items appear in the search results?
There are two possible reasons. The search engine updates once a week. Your items may not yet have been included.
The second is only MyTreasure pages I host are included in the search results. Pages hosted in other locations aren't included as this stage.
